Fútballet was commissioned by the Pérez Art Museum for a show titled The World’s Game: Fútbol and Contemporary Art. Showcasing the intersection between art and football, the exhibit featured the works of 40 artists from Andy Warhol to Kehinde Wiley.
Incorporating 62 individual hand-painted figures, Fútballet memorialized 20 of the greatest moments in World Cup history from 1970 to 2016. Representing 21 countries, the piece also included legendary female players like Brandi Chastin, an homage to women in a historically male-dominated sport.
